How do I place an order?

Use the enquiry form on our website — select your coffee, quantity, and any add-ons. We'll confirm your order by email and include it in that week's roast batch.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes — we require a minimum of 3 bags per order. This keeps our roast batches consistent and ensures every bag arrives at peak freshness.

What does roast-to-order mean?

We don't roast in advance and sit on stock. Every bag is roasted specifically for your order on Monday, then delivered the same day. You're never getting beans that have been sitting on a shelf.

Question 4

When do I need to order by?

Orders must be placed by Friday at noon CT to be included in that week's Monday roast. Orders received after the cutoff roll into the following week.

Can I mix different coffees in one order?

Absolutely. You can mix and match our Single Origin Colombia, Daily House Blend, and Artisan Decaf — just note the total quantity in your enquiry and we'll sort it out.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver free within 50 miles of Austin, TX (78726). If you're outside that radius, get in touch and we'll see what we can work out.

Question 7

When will my coffee arrive?

All orders are roasted and delivered on Monday. You'll receive your freshly roasted beans the same day they come off the roaster.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is completely free within 50 miles of Austin. We handle it ourselves — no third-party couriers, no surprise fees.

Do you use a courier service?

No. We deliver every order ourselves. That means we can guarantee the condition of your coffee when it arrives and have a real conversation if anything isn't right.

How should I store my coffee?

Keep your beans in an airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Our bags have a one-way valve that lets CO₂ escape without letting air in — you can store beans in the bag itself if you reseal it tightly.

Should I refrigerate or freeze my coffee?

We don't recommend it for everyday use. Moisture and temperature fluctuations in the fridge can degrade flavour. If you're storing beans for more than 2–3 weeks, a sealed freezer bag works — but let them come fully to room temperature before opening.

How long will the coffee stay fresh?

Whole beans are at their best within 2–4 weeks of the roast date. Ground coffee loses freshness faster — ideally within a week. Because we roast to order, your beans arrive at peak freshness and the clock starts from delivery day.

Question 13

Do you sell pre-ground coffee?

We sell whole bean only. Grinding just before brewing preserves the most flavour and aroma — and since you're getting freshly roasted beans, it's worth the extra step.

What's the best way to brew Coffee 144?

It depends on the coffee. Our Single Origin Colombia shines in a pour-over or Aeropress — methods that highlight its floral and citrus notes. The House Blend is versatile and works well as espresso or in a French press. The Artisan Decaf is excellent as a flat white or cappuccino.

What grind size should I use?

Coarse for French press, medium-coarse for pour-over, medium for drip, fine for espresso. A burr grinder gives the most consistent results — blade grinders produce uneven particles that affect extraction.

What water temperature should I use?

Accepted Answer

Aim for 90–96°C (195–205°F) — just off the boil. Boiling water can scorch lighter roasts; cooler water under-extracts darker ones. If you don't have a thermometer, let boiled water rest for 30–45 seconds.

How much coffee should I use?

Accepted Answer

A good starting ratio is 1:15 — 1g of coffee per 15ml of water. For a 250ml cup, that's around 17g of coffee. Adjust to taste: more coffee for a stronger brew, less for a lighter one.

Do you offer a subscription?

We don't have a formal subscription system yet, but many of our customers set up a standing weekly or fortnightly order. Just let us know your preferred cadence when you enquire and we'll keep you on the schedule.

How do I set up a recurring order?

Can I change or cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes — as long as you let us know before the Friday noon CT cutoff. After that, your order is already in the roast schedule and we can't make changes for that week.
